Christine McGee & Daniel Remillard
Christine and Daniel come from Sorel, a small town about an hour from Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Christine paints her kites and weaves them as one does for a basket. Each fabric strip is not sewn. A nice challenge for Christine. She adds ribbons, buttons and wool to further enliven the wind. She also likes to make decorative banners that she displays during kite events.
Daniel has been creating kites for over 30 years. His first kite was made with garbage bags, but he has refined his method since then. He makes his kites using the method of Appliqué. Daniel is inspired by flying machines and strange shapes.
Both kite flyers engage in non-profit causes which focus on the wellbeing of children.
