The teams are working to bring all 2020 performers and vendors back for 2021. We are all in this together, and together we will go on and get through these troubled times.
Windscape Kite festival, which was founded in 2005, annually brings more than 11,000 fans to Swift Current on the summer solstice to watch the mastery of over 40 professional kite makers and performers from around the globe. The 2020 edition of the event would have featured artists from Belgium, Washington, Oregon, Montana, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, British Columbia, and of course, Saskatchewan. We look forward to having all these artists back June 19th and 20th, 2021.
Long Day's Night Music Festival was established in 2003 and showcases upcoming Saskatchewan and Canadian musicians of a variety of genres under our beautiful starry skies. We are working to bring you a fantastic festival on June 17th to 20th, 2021.
In the meantime, we wish you all good health and to remain strong and positive in these very trying times.

Dirk and Sonja Krüger
Dirk and Sonja are both from Germany. Dirk works as a leader for projects for sewer rehabilitation. Sonja works for an insurance broker and is responsible for liability and travel damages in the claims department.
In 1994 they started flying kites. At that moment it was stand kites. It was an all-round and fantastic hobby and they had lots of fun with it and the whole family is included with this hobby. Because they had so much fun with it they started building their own kites. They created some with spars and some inflatable. The variety kept getting bigger and bigger and then they began to build big inflatable kites. Dirk and Sonja are proud of their oldest daughter who also designs her own kites.
As a kite designer and kite builder you can give free rein to your imagination and play with all the different colors and forms. The challenge for Sonja and Dirk as big kite fliers is to think about how to build a 3D figure like the original and how to bring it to fly. They love the challenge to create and build something new, something nobody else has already built.
For Sonja and Dirk the biggest praise is to see the kids who marvel about their kites and to make the kids and the parents or adults happy and laugh. This makes them proud of their kites.
