Windscape Kite Festival

June 18 & 19, 2022 · 10am to 5pm · Swift Current, SK

The Windscape and Long Day's Night teams have made the difficult decision to cancel our 2021 events.

We know large events like ours bring so many wonderful things to Saskatchewan. They strengthen the fabric of our communities, provide volunteer opportunities, and bring people from all cultures and backgrounds together.
We are ready to bring the SaskPower Windscape Kite Festival and Long Day's Night Music Festival back in 2022 and look forward to sharing the prairie skies again with all of you on June 16th to 19th, 2022.

Please follow our socials to stay tuned on some fun family activities we will be providing to the local southwest communities instead.

Swift Current locals can sign up for our kite Making workshops June 26th and 27th here:

Stay Safe,
The Windscape Team

Kinetic Wind Sculpture Garden

Become an Artist at the Windscape Kite Festival

The Windscape Kite Festival offers a great opportunity for local artists to contribute to a very unique installation in our Kinetic Wind Sculpture Garden. The garden showcases interpretive handmade works by local artists who use their imagination to create prairie wind sculptures. Located beside the activity tents in the open field, the installation is a gazer’s paradise.

Prayer flags flap with gusto while unique silverware mobiles clink and twirl in the wind. Motion and sound combine to make colourful and creative art pieces come alive — from dancing whirligigs to sparkling glass mosaics. Feel, hear, and see how art interacts with the wind in this one-of-a-kind exhibit.

We are always looking for more creative individuals to expand our installation. If you feel inspired to make a unique sculpture of your own, please email to see how your piece can become a part of our festival. Deadline is June 11, 2021.
