Donna and Fred Taylor from Port Colborne, Ontario enjoy getting out kite flying and sharing the experience whenever they can. Sewing unique kites when their children were young to fly at the local park opened up an outlet to explore the various styles of kites. Over the years various kites were constructed and purchased from available sources that challenged building skills and flying abilities. As a couple their collection covers kites from most disciplines to enable them to fly under all types of conditions.
As members of the Niagara Windriders Kite Association they take an active role in helping organize and stage the Canal Days Kite Festival in Port Colborne. This experience and meeting other kite flyers from visiting areas has encouraged the Taylors to take it on the road. They participate in many kite festivals in Canada and the USA. Along with flying displays the Taylors have been working on enhancing line laundry and ground displays. Whimsy inflatable creatures, Bols, balls and banners ensure a large footprint when they come to town.
