The Kite Collective
The Kite Collective is a west coast, Canadian / American kite team with members in BC, Washington and Oregon. They fly quad line sport kites together in choreographed routines, as well as improvisational routines. Spencer “Watty” Watson, from Seattle WA, is the captain of the team and leads the group through performances. Willow Robin, from Victoria BC, and David “Monkey” Hathaway, from Vancouver BC, make up the rest of the core team. The Kite Collective is joined by its charter members: Steve DeRooy, from Victoria BC and Dylan Nguyen, from West Linn OR. The Kite Collective has existed in some form for over a decade and they are widely considered to be the best looking, most intelligent and humble sport kite team ever. The Kite Collective always looks forward to revisiting Saskatchewan.
